BE A RESPONSIBLE OWNER!! ❤️ This starter-kit DOES NOT INCLUDE an aquarium OR the air pump required to run the sponge filter (we recommend using a pump rated for at least 55 gallons). REMEMBER…. One axolotl requires an aquarium that is AT LEAST 20 gallons! You will want to make sure you have a Master Water Test Kit for freshwater tanks, on hand at all times and become acquainted with it right away…. regular testing and monitoring of water parameters is critical to the overall well-being of your axie. You may choose to add other decor and/or sand to your aquarium in addition to the items provided with this kit….. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that a bare bottom aquarium is best for axolotls under 5” long; once they reach that size you may add FINE sand to their aquascape if desired. 😉
